The meeting of Major Superiors in Africa, which began on 11 June with the pilgrimage to Kibeho, ended today, 14 June, in Kigali. The day was marked by the celebration of the Eucharist in the parish church, attended by all the participants to the meeting. The Eucharist was presided over by the Provincial Rector of Holy Family Province, Father Eugène Niyonzima.

The aim of this celebration was to thank God for the smooth running of the meeting;  but also an opportunity to greet the Christians of Gikondo. After Mass, the Major Superiors visited some of the parish structures and those of the Holy Family community.

The Rector General, Father Zénon Hanas, in his address on behalf of all the Major Superiors, expressed his gratitude for the hospitality shown to them and congratulated the Holy Family Province on its development and prosperity. He expressed his gratitude to all the members of the Holy Family Province for their personal involvement in the organization of the Gold Jubilee. It should be noted that during this meeting Father John Onna, Regional Superior of the East Africa Region, was elected President of the Major Superiors of Africa. He replaces Father Eugène NIYONZIMA.
